Luxury Patio FurnitureI have placed my luxury patio furniture on the mezzanine outside of my restaurant. I have been the manager of a sumptuous restaurant for five years. The owner of the restaurant wanted to expand our seating capacity and decided to my delight that he wanted to have people dine outside. I got to work finding dealers that made luxury patio furniture. I found a lot of places that only wanted to sell me low quality products that were not restaurant grade. I liked the idea of also trying to make the restaurant as a whole more casual and open. I thought that the alfresco dining idea was great. There is an unrestricted view of the countryside. It is nice to dine with Mother Nature. Diners have raved about the luxury patio furniture. We changed our menu around the same time that the courtyard was unveiled and the diners are raving about that, too. We started serving a chili relleno. There has been a lot of interest in the chili relleno at our restaurant. We serve two different chili rellenos to our customers in the luxury patio furniture. We have one that is a roasted poblano pepper stuffed with three cheeses and herbs. We have another chili relleno that is stuffed with Picadillo. We have also added some good seafood items. A favorite with the diners is the Ancho crusted yellow-fin tuna steak that is served with garlic mashed potatoes and black bean mango salsa. Our business in the restaurant has increased. We still haven't covered all of the costs of the addition of the outdoor seating. The luxury patio furniture was worth the investment. I do believe that the luxury patio furniture has increased the frequency of return customers. I have one customer that enjoys the luxury furniture and the blackened swordfish with the coconut green chili rice, raspberry scallion sauce and sauteed spinach so much that he dines with us three nights a week. There was only once when he didn't order his regular dish. He was sitting on the mezzanine in the luxury patio furniture and he ordered a stuffed breast of chicken that had herbed goat cheese, sweet potato gratin and papaya tomatillo salsa. I was very surprised. I felt like it was appropriate enough question and he replied that he had always wondered about this dish and whether or not he'd like the salsa. He decided that he loves the salsa. There is a company that offices around the corner from us. They started holding their Friday morning staff meetings in our open-air patio. They sit in their luxury patio furniture and order from our old breakfast menu. I do not know why the head of the department that meets here won't let his employees to eat the new items. I thought that this was odd. I do like his breakfast choice, though. Every person at the meeting gets a breakfast panini. |
