Orleans Patio Heater

While trying to research the Orleans patio heater, I had trouble finding any website or source of information that was particularly enlightening. Finally, I decided to check out some of the comparison shopping sites and consumer review types of websites, and I found out some basic information about the Orleans patio heater.

Mainly, I discovered that this model of patio heater seems to have been discontinued. I can only assume this to be the case, as barbeque supply store after store displayed "this item no longer available" notices. Though I didn't find any kind of official statement indicating that this brand of patio heater is not made any longer, I can at least deduce that it would be difficult to deal with the manufacturer or hard to find replacement parts if it has been this difficult to find what little information about the Orleans patio heater company as I've been able to.

If you need to purchase a new patio heater, I say forget about Orleans and go for a more popular brand. There are several advantages to choosing a better known brand, such as improved customer service. Let's face it, huge manufacturers and patio heater companies are going to have better customer service standards and hours than very small companies.

When choosing a patio heater, there are some basic considerations that will make deciding on which type of patio heater to get, that much easier. Will you be heating a small or large area? Is the patio area to be heated enclosed completely or not? Obviously you will need more heat to heat larger or open patio areas.

There are electric heaters, gas patio heaters and propane powered patio heaters. Choosing between these types of patio heaters depends largely on which type of fuel you're most comfortable with or is the easiest to replace as needed. If you don't want to have to drive and get regular propane replacements, then perhaps propane patio heaters aren't the right choice for you.

Then again, several propane companies offer regular delivery for very reasonable prices. Electric heaters really aren't as efficient as either type of gas patio heaters, but may be the easiest solution for you to implement as well as keep up. Natural gas heaters will need to be connected to your natural gas line that feeds into your house, assuming you already have natural gas service.

If you are not trained to work with gas lines, you certainly should hire professional to come out and hook up your natural gas patio heater. So you see, there is the immediate expense of having someone hook up a natural gas patio heater. With propane there is the inconvenience of having to acquire replacement canisters of propane. And with electric patio heaters, you're going to spend a little more for each unit of heat that is produced than with either of the gas powered patio heaters.

Do a little research and comparison shopping yourself. Think about what will be easiest for you to maintain. Only you know about the services and resources available in your area. Plus, price scan vary greatly from region to region. So call around and find out which option will cost the least in the long run. I'd go with that option.
