Outdoor Patio Flooring

I need new outdoor patio flooring. I do not know what kind to choose. The more that I research what the options are the more confused that I get. I think that I like interlocking wood tiles.

Interlocking wood tiles seem like a good choice for outdoor patio flooring. The tiles just click together and the floor doesn't need much preparation work. I like that you don't need any special skills, because I don't have any.

The salesman I talked to told me that using interlocking wood tiles for my outdoor patio flooring was a good idea because it would add value and style to my home. I am suspicious of flooring salesmen and have decided to keep researching.

The only thing that the outdoor patio flooring salesman said that I keep thinking about is the durability factor. He told me that interlocking wood tiles were even suitable for high traffic commercial areas. Maybe this is the best choice for my outdoor patio flooring needs.

After I left the salesman, I did some more research on interlocking wood tiles. I was happy to find that they are very low maintenance. All I have to do to keep my outdoor patio flooring clean is to wash the deck tiles with water and a stiff brush. I can do that.

I had almost made up my mind about my outdoor patio flooring when I stumbled across a whole other array of choices. Plastic tiles are apparently another good choice for outdoor patio flooring. There are many different types of plastic tiles to choose from.

There are Sports Expansion Tiles that are one foot square and snap together very securely. These tiles are available in solid Polypropylene. I found a local distributor of outdoor patio flooring that can order this tile for me if I decide to purchase it.

Another type of plastic tile is the Anti-Slip Perforated Tile. This is not exactly what I had in mind for outdoor patio flooring. This is basically a mat that you lay on your patio that has ¼" holes. Keeping this type of floor clean requires a vacuum. I hate vacuums and don't want this odd looking mat for my outdoor patio flooring.

I found another kind of plastic tile for outdoor patio flooring, the Shock Absorbent Cushioned Tile. If I were going to use my patio for exercising, this would be ideal. This type of floor is also a mat. The cushioned tiles offer air cushioned comfort.

I had no idea that outdoor patio flooring could be considered anti-fatigue. Apparently the comfort tile greatly reduces stress where work is conducted while standing. This type of flooring is also resistant to mold and mildew. Even though the cushioned tiles sound nice, I still don't like the idea of a mat for my outdoor patio flooring.
