Patio Door Shades

I like patio door shades. I get a chance to see lots of patio door shades at my job. I cater for a living. I have about a dozen families that I cook for on a regular basis and I've gotten to see a variety of patio door shades.

I like to see the Butler family. They have a nice three bedroom home that is by my favorite golf course. They have bamboo patio door shades. The favorite meal at the Butler house is Greek Pasta with grilled eggplant and baklava for dessert.

I make my Greek pasta with chicken, onions, lemon, fresh oregano and Kalamata olives. I like to find interesting pasta shapes to serve with this. My current favorite is orecchiette pasta that looks like little ears. Grilled eggplant is a nice accompaniment for this dish.

I have spent a lot of time looking at the bamboo patio door shades while I prepare the baklava for the Butlers. I have to make syrup that has water, sugar, lemon juice and honey. The dough that I use is very fragile and has taken time to master over the years.

When I started cooking for the Nash family, I was a little concerned. I had never been in a home that used blackout patio door shades before. It turns out that the patio door faces the direct sun at dinner time and the family's only recourse was blackout patio door shades. This is a pretty all American family that likes a very traditional meal. More often than not, the family requests that I cook Pot Roast and blueberry cobbler for dinner.

My pot roast is very tender because I make it in the pressure cooker. I like to roast the vegetables in the oven rather than cook them with the meat in the pressure cooker. I always get the results from the meat that I want, but the vegetables get too soft. The blueberry cobbler that I make for this family is thickened with tapioca. The grandmother of Mrs. Nash used to use tapioca in her blueberry pie and she has decided that she prefers cobbler to pie but still wants the tapioca as the thickener.

The woven wood patio door shades at the Russell home get a lot of use. This family uses their patio door and their patio more than any other family I cook for. They like the family barbecue, but prefer that I set the whole thing up for them.

The last time I saw the Russell family was when I made them hamburgers on the grill. I served the hamburgers with whole wheat buns and a spread of Wasabi mayo. I served the family cut Cantelope for dessert. I had to go past the patio door shades at least twenty times that night.
